PNR Status Questions

PNR stands for Passenger Name Record. It's a 10-digit unique number assigned to every railway reservation. You can find your PNR number on your train ticket, SMS confirmation, or email booking confirmation from IRCTC.
PNR status is updated in real-time by Indian Railways. Waiting list statuses can change throughout the day as passengers cancel their bookings. We recommend checking regularly, especially closer to your travel date.
CNF (Confirmed): Your seat/berth is confirmed and you can board the train.
WL (Waiting List): Your ticket is on waiting list. Check regularly as it may get confirmed.
RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation): You can board the train and may get a confirmed seat during the journey.
No, you cannot travel with a waitlisted (WL) ticket. Only confirmed (CNF) and RAC tickets are valid for travel. If your ticket remains waitlisted, it will be automatically cancelled and refund will be processed.

Train Search Questions

Currently, our train search works by train name or number. To find trains between stations, you can search for trains and check their route information to see if they stop at your desired stations.
Train search results include train name and number, source and destination stations, departure and arrival times, journey duration, days of operation, and available travel classes.
No, we provide information services only. For booking train tickets, please visit the official IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in) or visit your nearest railway reservation office.

Live Station Questions

Station code is a 2-5 letter abbreviation for railway stations. For example, NDLS for New Delhi, BCT for Mumbai Central. You can find station codes on your tickets, railway websites, or by searching online for your station name.
Live station information is updated in real-time from official railway sources. However, there might be slight delays in data updates during peak hours or technical issues. Always verify with station announcements for critical information.
"TBA" means "To Be Announced." Platform numbers are usually announced 30-60 minutes before train arrival. Keep checking for updates or listen to station announcements for platform information.
